Our Story

When our daughter was six, she asked Father Christmas for a litter picker.

We’re an outdoorsy family. We spend a lot of time in nature; walking, noticing wildlife and talking about the world around us. Nula loves animals and she’d started to notice how litter affects the places she cares about.

The moment made us pause. We wondered how else we could support turning her care into meaningful action.

Many children care deeply about the natural world. They notice litter, worry about animals and want to help in practical ways, but it isn’t always easy to find ways for them to act and to feel that their actions matter.

We created The Green Medal Club to recognise and celebrate meaningful action.
